Need editable Illustrator files when working with Adobe InDesign?
When working in Adobe InDesign it is sometimes useful to draw a basic object in Illustrator and edit it within InDesign. Let’s test it!
While still in Illustrator: 1) Windows users go to the EDIT MENU and PREFERENCES, while Mac users go to the ILLUSTRATOR MENU and PREFERENCES.
Now go to Adobe InDesign: 3) PASTE the image into InDesign.
The image is now editable in Adobe InDesign but remember this is not a link. The image is now owned by InDesign within InDesign, ungroup if necessary and edit with one of InDesign's SELECTION TOOLS.
